Il Pastore Agritourism in Festà

Gastone and Graziella... They are the creators of this pearl hidden among the hills of Modena, where, together with their sons Enea and Spartaco, they can create dishes that recall the flavors of nature.

Nature, relaxation and good food: this is what you can find at the farm holiday Il Pastore di Festà.

It all began when Gastone and Graziella, tired of city life, decided to escape the chaos of the city and buy a plot of land at four hundred meters above sea level with views of valleys and gullies and invent breeders of chickens and sheep. In 1976 the family farm was officially established.

Initially, meat and cheese were sold to restaurants in the area for their activities. Later, Gastone decided to use its raw materials to cook dishes with a genuine flavour.
Thus, in 1984, the “trattoria” on the Fondovalle was founded, where the products of the farm were used.
Only in 2004 they decided to merge the two activities and create Il Pastore Festà Agritourism, a place located in the middle of nature, where you can breathe only the scents of farm and savor its gifts.
Their work is so divided: Gastone and Enea in the room and Graziella and Spartaco in the kitchen. Thanks to their culinary skills and products of the highest quality, the agritourism is rewarded by the renowned Gambero Rosso ranking and appears in the American magazine "Gourmet" among the 8 restaurants where to eat to enjoy the real Emilian cuisine.
